Just Be More...Oh Heck, Just Go Back to School!

Guess what?

It's time for another Just Be More...post.

Yay!

Well, yay for the post, not necessarily for the goal...

*Sigh*

You see, I have been humming and hawing about going back to school for almost a year now.When I finished my Associate's Degree I decided that I deserved needed  to take a nice long break before starting my Bachelor's Degree.

Now, I was warned that if I took this break it would probably be hard to find the motivation to get back into school, and that continuing on without a break would be my best option.

Well, needless to say I didn't listen.

I took that nice long break that I thought I deserved, and now almost a year later I am more than regretting my decision.

Trying to find the motivation to go back to school has been much harder than I had anticipated. I have been putting it off for months, and even now with the start date looming over my head I am still struggling.

However, I know this is something I can not put off any longer. It is officially time to suck it up, and Just go back to School!

I start tomorrow, and if everything goes as planned I will finish on March 3, 2014...

Ugh, that just sounds horrible right now, but I know this is something that has to be done, and it will be more than worth it in the end. 

So, wish me luck, and hopefully I will find some motivation (and a little optimism) before tomorrow. :o)

Weekend Memories with Subway Art

Hello, and Happy Wednesday!

Seriously, is it really Wednesday already!

Where has this week gone?

 By the way, sorry I have been MIA the last couple of weeks.

N8dogg and I have been trying to find a new normal, and it has been much harder than I thought it would be, but no worries I think things are finally starting to fall into place. :o)

Anyway, today I wanted to show you the Subway Art I made to commemorate a family weekend we had a little while ago.

You see, since I am a horrible picture taker (often times because I forget to actually take the picture) I decided that I needed another way to commemorate weekends like this one.

So, I decided to take my current obsession with Subway Art, and make a memory version. :o)

I started by writing down things I remembered from our weekend.

Such as, Caylee's obsession with putting on my makeup...

And Lucas' new found LOVE of all things Football.

Then, I used different fonts and colors in Picmonkey to turn my words into Subway Art.

Now, you could stop there if you wanted to.

Just print it out, frame it up, and you're all set.

TA-DA!

However, I wanted to take mine to the next level. :o)

So, I bought some 8x10 canvas, and used Delia's Distressed Canvas Tutorial to make some Distressed Subway Art.

Honestly, I think it's pretty cute, and I love that it means something to N8dogg and I. :o)

Now, I will always remember the weekend that we found Caylee a pair of Glittered High Heals,

And she proclaimed it to be the BEST. DAY. EVER.

Yes Caylee, it most certainly was. :o)

Back to School with some Flair!

Hello, and Happy Wednesday!

How was your weekend?

Mine was Fantastic!

N8dogg and I got a visit from some of our favorite guests, and we partied all weekend long.

So, do you think I managed to take any pictures of all the Awesomeness we had?

Nope, not a one!

*Sigh*

Anyway, right now I am working on something to make up for that, but since it's not quite done I thought I would show you the cute back to school handouts I made for all the Nieces and Nephews...well, at least all the Nieces and Nephews that are starting school. :o)

Real quick though, for this to make sense I need to share a Random Fun Fact. 

Random Fun Fact: I LOVE Flair. 

What is Flair you ask?

Well, "Flair" defined by the Urban Dictionary is a general term used to describe round buttons of various sizes pinned to one's shirts and used to express one's self.

So, when I saw these the other day at Michael's...

I knew they would be perfect for some back to school Flair. :o)

I used PicMonkey to make this little handout.

Then just added a little Flair. :o)
