A Plastic Egg Wreath!

Good Morning!

How was your weekend?

As you can see from my recovery picture, mine was pretty awesome. :o)

So, do you remember my plastic egg wreath from the other day?

Please excuse the wreath hanger, I am working on it as we speak. :o)
Yep, that's the one!

Can you say impulse craft, because that is totally what this was.

It all started when I got off work one morning and headed to Wal-Mart.

Random Fun Fact: I have often gone shopping after working all night, then woke up the next afternoon with absolutely no recollection of what I purchased that morning.

This was definitely one of those shopping trips.

I woke up later that afternoon only to discover this.

Yep, a box of 220 Plastic Eggs!

Seriously?

What was I thinking?

I know I had wanted a few plastic eggs to put in my new apothecary jar, but 220, that a lot of eggs!

So, what is a girl to do with 220 pastel plastic eggs?

Well, make a wreath of course! :o)

So, I grabbed a straw wreath frame from Michaels, and started hot gluing.

I ended up using a ton of glue, because not only did I glue the eggs to the wreath, but I also glued them to each other for added support.

It was a good idea, but it did make the process a lot more tedious than it needed to be.

Oh, and in this case the more tedious I was the more time I spent gluing.

By the time I got to the end I had a few gaps to fill in...which explains the bow...

That actually turned out a lot better than I had originally anticipated.

So, even though it was a tedious and time consuming impulse craft, I kind of like how it turned out...

or at least it's growing on me. :o)

So, what do you think?

Happy Monday!
